My first line of jewelry is called Wire Whiskers. All items (mostly earrings for now) are made of sterling silver wire of varying gauges. They are hand formed, hammered and, filed to give them just the right character. Then lightly sanded to a glistening shimmer. They are then attached to hand formed french ear wires, a shiny bead tops them off.
The charity
• 10% of sales from Wire Whiskers are donated to a no-kill animal shelter.
• April's donation was made to TAPS, Tazewell Animal Protection Services.
• May's donation was made to a new Animal Rescue just starting up in the central Illinois area and will house up to 200 cats who would otherwise have been euthanized.
If you know of a worthy no-kill animal shelter/rescue, be sure to let me know. I'm making a list and plan to rotate between several.
In the next few months I hope to be able to add other lines and worth causes. Check back soon for more information on that.
